Did you manage to catch a peek of the super blue blood moon this morning? It was cloudy here in Austin, so I missed it. I was pretty bummed about it, but alas. At least there’s another blue moon heading our way in March 🙂
I finished reviewing part 1 of my rough draft for The Cliffs, which means I’m officially graduating it to first draft status! It’s about 30k words in total, so if I continue chugging along at this rate, I should have the rest of the manuscript cleaned up by mid-March. I’ll admit that I’m a little at a loss as to what comes next, though. I’ve found a few consistent critique partners through Scribophile, but not as many as I would like. Feedback trickles in sporadically on my chapters every few days, which is definitely helpful, but I wish it was a little more consistent. I was invited to join a fantasy swap group, so I’m hopeful that I can find some more long term partners for January. Keep your fingers crossed for me! If not, it might be on to Fiver to look for beta readers there.
I keep telling myself that the feedback I have received is positive, so that’s something, right?
